THIS IS WITHOUT PAYROLL WITH THE EDC DIRECTOR AS A COMPONENT AS IT WOULD BE NORMALLY, AS WE DISCUSSED BEFORE AT THE PREVIOUS MEETING. AND THEN THERE WAS A REQUEST FOR A CLARIFICATION ON THE GENERAL FUND TRANSFER.

SINCE THERE'S THERE'S THIS SUBJECT MAY COME BACK AT A SUBSEQUENT MEETING REGARDING THE STRUCTURE OF THE EDC AND HOW THIS EDC ARRIVES AT A VISION MOVING FORWARD.

AFTER RECEIVING AN EMAIL FROM MR. BORG HIMSELF. ONE OF THE PRIMARY REASONS THAT WE NEEDED TO TABLE THIS UNTIL FURTHER DISCUSSION WAS AS, AND I QUOTE MR. BORG STATING, MY ONLY CONCERN IS I HAVE ADDED WORKLOAD TO ME AND MY STAFF EXCUSE ME, TO ME AND MY STAFF.

WE ARE MAXED OUT WITH ALL PROJECTS IN DEVELOPMENT.

IF THIS DIRECTOR OR PRESIDENT YOU ARE PROPOSING WILL MANAGE THE EDC IN ITS ENTIRETY, THEN YOU DON'T HAVE ANY ISSUES WITH THEM REPORTING DIRECTLY TO THE BOARD.

MR. BORG SENT AN EMAIL BASICALLY STATING THAT THE CITY OF PRINCETON, THE THE GROWTH, THE EVERYTHING THAT'S HAPPENING, IT'S, YOU KNOW, IT'S A GROWING CITY.

IT'S A LOT TO MANAGE.

I UNDERSTAND THAT THE APPREHENSION OF ADDING THIS AND LOOKING AT THE BUDGET, WE CAN AFFORD IT.

WE ARE LOOKING AT A CITY THAT IS GROWING, BUT WE'RE MAKING DECISIONS BASED ON THE CITY THAT IS SMALL AND WE NEED TO MAKE DECISIONS ON CITIES THAT IS GROWING.

I FEEL LIKE WE'RE MAKING THESE DECISIONS WITHOUT MEASURING THREE TIMES.

WE'RE JUST CUTTING ONCE.

MR. JOHNSON AND I WENT BACK AND FORTH ON A COUPLE OF EMAILS, AND I BELIEVE THAT HE WANTS TO REVISIT THIS ITEM FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF HIRING SOMEONE THAT WORKS DIRECTLY FOR THE EDC RATHER THAN UNDER MY SUPERVISION.

IN LIGHT OF THE TIME FRAME AND THE REQUIREMENTS IT TAKES FOR ME TO GET THIS BUDGET APPROVED AND PASSED SO THAT WE CAN KEEP ON TRACK TO GET IT ADOPTED IN OCTOBER, THEN IN SEPTEMBER, THEN THEN IT'S NECESSARY TO ADOPT A BUDGET THIS EVENING. THE BUDGET THAT I'M RECOMMENDING ALLOWS FOR MOVEMENT GOING FORWARD IF THE BOARD CHANGES ITS MIND.

FROM THE LAST MEETING, I BELIEVE I TRIED TO EXPRESS IT AS BEST AS I COULD, BOTH SIDES OF THE EQUATION.
