I'M WITH KIMLEY-HORN. WE'RE THE CONSULTANT ON THE COMP PLAN UPDATE.

THE PURPOSE OF THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN UPDATE WAS REALLY TO FOCUS IN ON THE 380 LAR CORRIDOR AS IT'S PLANNED TO GO NORTH OF THE CITY AND THROUGH THE ETJ.

WE'RE REALLY FOCUSED ON THOSE AREAS OUTSIDE OF THE CITY AND ALSO ON THE NORTHERN PORTION OF THE CITY AS WELL.

NEXT SLIDE, PLEASE. THIS PROCESS WAS A FOUR PHASE PROCESS.

STARTED AROUND MAY TIME FRAME UNTIL NOW.

WE HAD A WEBSITE, WE HAD SURVEYS, WE DID A COUPLE OF PUBLIC ENGAGEMENT EVENTS, A WORKSHOP.

WE ALSO HAD A JOINT WORKSHOP WITH PINSON CITY COUNCIL, AND THEN WE MOVED INTO IMPLEMENTATION. NEXT SLIDE, PLEASE.

IN YOUR PACKET, AS PART OF THE REPORT, THERE WERE A COUPLE CHAPTERS THAT WE UPDATED IN YOUR COMPREHENSIVE PLAN.

THE FIRST ONE WAS LAND USE AS IT RELATED TO LAND USE.

WE WANTED TO LOOK AT THE FUTURE LAND USE PLAN WITH THE 380 CORRIDOR AS PART OF THAT.

AS PART OF THE LAND USE CHAPTER, NOW THERE INCLUDES SUBDISTRICT AREAS ALONG THAT CORRIDOR THAT GIVES INFORMATION ON THE DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS OF THE DISTRICT, SOME RECOMMENDATIONS THAT LED TO A ZONING AMENDMENT, AS WELL AS A COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS BEFORE AND AFTER THIS PROCESS AS WELL.

NEXT SLIDE, PLEASE. WE ALSO UPDATED THE MOBILITY SECTION OF THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN, UPDATED THE MASTER THOROUGHFARE PLAN, PROVIDED SOME ADDITIONAL DETAIL AROUND FLEXIBLE DESIGN STANDARDS FOR ROADWAYS, AS WELL AS UPDATED THE PARKS AND OPEN SPACE PLAN AS WELL.

NEXT SLIDE, PLEASE. THEN FINALLY, WE WRAPPED IT UP WITH IMPLEMENTATION.

YOUR IMPLEMENTATION CHAPTER PREVIOUSLY INCLUDED A VERY SIMILAR MATRIX AS YOU SEE ON THE LEFT HAND OF YOUR SCREEN.

WE UPDATED THAT AS WELL WITH THE NEW ACTION ITEMS. WE ALSO WROTE PRIORITY PROJECTS INTO THE REPORT AS WELL.

THOSE PRIORITY PROJECTS, THEY IDENTIFY KEY PROJECTS THAT WOULD ENSURE SUCCESS ALONG THE CORRIDOR, SO KEY THINGS THAT WE HAVE TO DO OVER TIME IN ORDER TO REALIZE THE VISION.

THEY RANGE FROM DIFFERENT SCALES.

BUT IT'S REALLY USEFUL TOOL FOR YOU TO USE INTO THE FUTURE TO BOTH UNDERSTAND THE SCOPE AND SCALE OF PROJECTS, BUT THEN ALSO TO UNDERSTAND SOME FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES AS THEY RELATE TO THOSE PROJECTS AS WELL.

BUT THEN ON THE NEXT FEW PAGES DOWN, IT HAS THAT BROKEN DOWN INTO URBAN AND SUBURBAN LIVING, WHICH JUST FROM MY EXPERIENCE AND PARTICIPATING IN SOME OF THESE DISCUSSIONS, ISN'T NECESSARILY WHAT THAT NEIGHBORHOOD IS DESIRING.

HOW DO WE GO THROUGH TO MAKE SURE THAT THIS IS MATCHING AND CONSISTENT THROUGHOUT THE DOCUMENT? FIRST OFF, AND THEN WHILE KEEPING IN MIND WHAT PEOPLE THAT ARE ALREADY LIVING IN THAT VICINITY ARE PREFERRING.
